Dear Friends,
This is the former A group and the only group that will keep this name.
SPONSOR:
The ICCF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2017 is sponsored by chessdom.com
STRUCTURE:
It will consist of 15 teams.
The teams that finished 1st to 7th in the CL5 A group and the 2 first placed teams of each B group of CL5.
REFLECTION TIME:
250 days with an increment of 10 days for every 10 moves played.
There will be NO LEAVE available (Neither special nor regular)
This will allow a 2 years cycle.
There will be a Champions League 2018 started next year, teams yet to be decided.
PRIZES:
ICCF trophy for the winning team
Certificate and medal for the 2nd and 3rd

UNUSED QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE LOST.
RELEGATION:
The teams placed 1st to 5th will stay for CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2019 teams placed 6th to 15th will have their place in CHALLENGER 2019.
ENTRY:
Either via Direct Entry or via National Federation.
FEE:
Depending on the entry method.
DE fee reduced to 45€ with respect to the previous season.
This represents a 25% decrease to the previous edition.
NF fee to be decided by the respective national federation
