Important information about entries to norm tournaments

Wednesday, March 6, 2019: Players and national Direct Entry contacts are kindly invited to read carefully the following ICCF Rules:

1.2.4.12: “A player may only start one webserver norm tournament in each 3-month cycle (January to March, April to June, July to September, and October to December)”

1.2.4.11.a: “The norm event for which the player qualifies (by rating) is initially determined at the time of registration”

That means that a player who has already started a norm tournament on the first trimester of 2019 cannot enter a new norm tournament before 1/04/2019 and that players who have the right and want to enter a norm tournament of a higher type according their future 2019/2 rating cannot enter such tournament before 1/04/2019.   [Please, note that the “forecast rating” has no absolute value: it’s just an “estimated” ranking!]

For organisational reasons, entries who don’t accomplish with the above rules will be rejected and the players will be invited to send them after 1/04/2019.
