Welcome to the BCCA Gold Medal Webserver tournament! Average Rating 2302 (as compared to 2288 last year, and 2246 in 2014. The tournament still getting stronger every year!).
The winner will receive an engraved Gold Medal. The Baumbach tie-break (most wins)will be used, then S-B if necessary.
1st placed player will earn 8 points towards the BCCA Master Title; 2nd placed player will earn 4 points. 3rd placed player will earn 2 points.
Players must maintain their BCCA membership throughout the tournament.
Sofia Rule (restricting draw offers) in place.

This is a server event.
The start date was 2/20/2016.
There is no end date.
ICCF standard time control 10 moves in 40 days with duplication after 20 days is used.
If a player exceeds allowed thinking time in any way, the player will automatically be scored with a loss. Under some circumstances all of the player’s games will subsequently be cancelled (if not already rated).
30 days of leave per year are available to each player.
Special leave can be requested from the TD.
Linear conditionals can be entered.
This tournament allows claims based on the six piece tablebase.
Players cannot agree to a draw before move 30.
Draw offers are essentially restricted to one offer per player per game (called the Code of Conduct draw rule). See 2017 Playing Rules-Server 2d and/or TD Manual-Server 11.3.3 for details.
Ties are broken by the Baumbach tie breaking rule (see ICCF rule 1.3.4.2).
If needed, adjudicators will be selected by the server.
Other participants can see the games only when they are finished, and at least 10 games are finished in the event.
