PROMOTIONAL LEAGUE 2017

Dear Friends,

This replaces the former Champions League C Group

SPONSOR:

The ICCF PROMOTIONAL LEAGUE is sponsored by chessdom.com

STRUCTURE:

It will consist of groups with 5 teams.

Each player will play 8 games in a double round-robin tournament.

The PROMOTION LEAGUE sections are started when filled

REFLECTION TIME:

110 days with an increment of 10 days for every 10 moves played.

There will be NO LEAVE available. Neither special nor regular

QUALIFIED TEAMS:

All new teams and those teams that are not mentioned in one of the other announcements (for CHAMPIONS or CHALLENGER League)

PROMOTION:

Each group winner will qualify for the next starting CHALLENGER LEAGUE.

The CHALLENGER LEAGUE 2018 is expected to start in April 2016.

A new CHALLENGER LEAGUE will start every year.

ENTRY:

Either via Direct Entry or via National Federation

FEE:

Depending on the entry method.

DE fee reduced to 45€ with respect to the previous season.

NF fee to be decided by the respective national federation

WHY these changes ?

The changes in the structure should allow a fixed 2 year cycle and reduced waiting time for new teams
