IM Leo Diepstraten Memorial.

Leo is 20 jaar lang voorzitter van de NBC geweest. Tot nu toe de langste periode.
Daarvoor was hij al vier jaar bestuurslid.
Natuurlijk was hij erelid van onze vereniging. Hij heeft de bloei van het correspondentieschaak volop meegemaakt.

Hij schreef, als schaakhistoricus, het prachtige boek: Tweehonderdvijftig jaar correspondentieschaak in Nederland.

Ook andere boeken zijn vermaard: Boeken over het Lettisch, over Schaakcafés. Hij was mede- oprichter van het Max Euwe centrum in Amsterdam. Hij overleed dit jaar op een mooie leeftijd van 95 jaar.

De eerste plaats in elke groep kwalificeert zich voor de finale.

Tie-Breaking:
(a) the Baumbach tie-breaking system
(b) the Sonneborn-Berger System,
(c) de uitslag tussen de twee spelers
(d) de speler met de laagste elo rating, gaat door naar de finale.

Prijzen geld voor de finale:
Eerste plaats: 300 euro
Tweede plaats: 200 euro
Derde plaats: 100 euro

The end date was 12/31/2022.
ICCF standard time control 10 moves in 50 days with duplication after 20 days is used.
If a player exceeds allowed thinking time in any way, the player will automatically be scored with a loss. Under some circumstances all of the player’s games will subsequently be cancelled (if not already rated).
45 days of leave per year are available to each player.
There is no special leave in this event.
Linear conditionals can be entered.
This tournament allows claims based on the seven piece tablebase.
Draw offers are restricted to one offer per player every 10 moves (called the ten moves draw rule).
Ties are broken by the Baumbach tie breaking rule (see ICCF rule 1.3.4.2).
If needed, adjudicators will be selected by the server.
Other participants can see the games live after 0 games are finished in the event. Live transmission is delayed by 5 moves.
