Qualification requirements
The following players have the right to participate in Open class tournaments:
(a) a player new to ICCF or without an ICCF rating.
(b) a player rated below 1900 at the time of application.
Reserved to players from Europe.
Players have to be rated 1899 or below.

Description

The Open Class tournament is the 1st level of ICCF Promotion tournaments. These are regularly started tournament sections where entries are continuously accepted. Open Class tournaments are offered via web-server playing only. Time control is 40 days/10 moves. The Open Class tournament falls under the responsibility of the Non-Title Tournaments Commissioner. If you win your section, you are eligible for entry into a Higher Class tournament. NAPZ tournaments are reserved to NAPZ players only.

The North America Pacific Zone consists of the following member federations:  Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand and the United States of America.

Size - Open Class sections typically consist of 7 players

Rating - Games played in this tournament are rated for the ICCF rating list.

    1. Present ICCF status or new to ICCF
