Post British Veterans Championship 2006-7

This is the 1st time there has been a triple tie for the title of British Veterans Champion. Terry Taylor's record speaks for itself. Jim Davis has been one of the competitions most loyal supporters and his endeavours have been duly rewarded. It was Stan Grayland's 1st time in the Veterans Championship and in spite of a loss in his 1st game he did not allow this to deter him and powered along with win after win.
Championship
: E.J. Davis, T. Taylor & S.J. Grayland 6/8
Candidates 1: E. Sowden 8/8
Candidates 2: E.W. Hooper 6˝/8
Candidates 3: D.J. Finnie 6˝/8
Candidates 4: J. Toothill 6˝/8

Thanks Michele,
Great to see you at the forum. The comments came from our TD for this event, Peter Gibbs. The style is one that we can adopt for our general tournament reporting at ICCF, it does make things more personal and interesting. Of course this arises from a good knowledge of the players, Peter has been TD for quite some time.

Best Wishes,
Mickey
