Exclamation Congress reports

To all ICCF Officials

Dear Friends

In a bit over two months we will be holding a new ICCF Congress, this time in Southern Spain. I hope to be there to meet you once again in this wonderful event!

As you know, all Executive Board members, all Commissioners and certain other officers are expected to make an annual report to Congress. We will be continuing the practice of recent years and will not make time available during Congress sessions for the formal reading of reports; instead, reports will be distributed in advance by email. I want to do this almost a month before Congress starts, and I therefore ask you to send your report to me by email and if possible by September 15th.

I am sure you will all comply with the deadline, but if you have any problems, please address me and we will find a suitable arrangement.

As usual, reports will be distributed in English.

Best regards,

Pedro

Pedro,

Will you be publishing the reports prior to Congress this year? I don't believe they were published prior to Congress last year.

Publishing the reports and proposed recommendations/changes would allow players to contact their delegates with input in a timely fashion.

Grayling

Exclamation Re: Congress reports

Hello Pedro,

I was noticing that we are almost a month past your requested deadline for Congress reports. Is there any chance we will see publication of the reports before Congress starts? I'm sure many players would like to read them and correspond with their delegate before they depart for Congress.

All the best,
Grayling

Wink Re: Congress reports

Hi Grayling,

All reports already submitted have been distributed by Pedro so far. Interested players could contact their national delegate/ federation to get a copy. This would be a bit faster than waiting for one person to do a long list of tasks (even if he agreed to it), especially since the list grows longer as the Congress approaches!

Yours,
Eugen

Dear friends,

Reports for Congress are prepared by all ICCF officers for consideration by delegates and officials, in preparation for discussions/decision in the Congress.

They are not distributed generally before the Congress, but full information and decisions taken, are included in Congress Minutes and Appendices. As in Dresden, it is hoped to have the first draft Minutes ready for delegates at the Closing Banquet on Friday 26th October.

Best regards,

Alan

Hello Eugen,

I did as you suggested and received a prompt reply with reports from my national delegate.

My point in asking Pedro about it was that it is much more efficient to have the reports available on the ICCF website where any interested party can download them, rather than having many players asking many delegates to email the reports.

All the best,
Grayling

p.s. The reports were also made available on the ICCF website today.

Hello Alan,

Reports have been made available on the ICCF website in previous years.

It was pleasing to see this years reports posted on the ICCF website today.

I believe the more information the ICCF can provide its players, the brighter the future it will have.

All the best,
Grayling

Hi Grayling,

Med was of your same opinion and that's why we agreed to have them posted on the website.

Some more reports will be distributed tonight.
