ICCF GM Gheorghe Rotariu a fost primul jucator roman de sah prin corespondenta care a obtinut titlul de mare maestru ICCF. A facut parte din echipa nationala castigatoare a primelor doua editii a Cupei Latine. Normele de GM au fost realizate in doua turnee individuale foarte puternice: "Romanian Chess Federation Jubilee" (1976-1979) si "Beograd 30" (1977-1980).

If a player exceeds allowed thinking time in any way, the player will automatically be scored with a loss. Under some circumstances all of the player’s games will subsequently be cancelled (if not already rated).

This tournament allows claims based on the seven piece tablebase.
Ties are broken by the Baumbach tie breaking rule (see ICCF rule 1.3.4.2).
